WAT PREAHPUT (The Buddha Wat )
This newly renovated pagoda is located just to the west of the Olympic Market, just off the roundabout with the statue of Nieng Kang Hing and an elephant. There was a pagoda there before the 1970’s, as evidenced by the many stupas, but the vithara is newly decorated with bright red and gold paint.

It is easy to walk along Monivong Boulevard many times without ever noticing that one of Phnom Penh’s most historic pagodas is located in the very center of things. Wat Koh can be found on the west side of Monivong at Street 140.
